For those of you who don't know, my name is Natasha and ever since moving to London from Canada, whenever I meet people and tell them my name I get the "oh that's a Russian name". 1, 392 times later ... I get the point. Plus having dated a guy who shares the same name as Putin and at one point a woman started talking to me in Russian during an interview because she assumed from my name I'd be Russian. I guess in MJ's words if your name is Russian "It don't matter if you're black or white" applies to yours truly. So I am officially taking Russian in a week. I already speak 4 languages so let's make it 5 like they do in boy bands.

I finally have a purse and you wonder why I am excited? Well a while ago my purse got stolen at a club, with pretty much every precious card you can think of inside. I even found myself pissed off at losing out on my hard work of collecting Tesco & Boots club points that some motherchucker ran off with. No more granny coin purses for me !

This bracelet is to die for. As in I'll shoot you dead if you don't give me ketchup & sauce for my potato wedges and chips. I confess. Yesterday I relapsed back to McDonalds out of sheer laziness to go grocery shopping. so, um the lady first of all dumps both items upside down in the bag and neglects the mandatory sauce. I suppose my wedges and fries are to have a roman orgy with no lubricant? Seeing as I was on "American psycho" mode yesterday ....long story... I asked her to re-pack my food. Zoom in on her less than impressed face. Zoom out , 180 camera rotation to my Ana Wintour face. You know that look she gives when she's not impressed by a collection? Well McDonalds the presentation of your F/W 09 menu is appalling. I know this isn't Nobu but the last time I checked if I am going to pay for food that will eventually clog my arteries and ruin the chances of me fitting into a size minus 2 skinny jean, then can it at least be presented upright? Maybe next time I should go in wearing my bracelet. That should make them shiver in their boots and sweat like cocktails

So this is part 1 of my purchases from the big apple. New York was fun. The subzero air conditioning in the trains was not. I know, I know. Coming from London our tube in the summer is hell's kitchen, but hey sniffling & constantly wiping my nose with my index finger when I come out of the subway, in 6 inch heels & a body-con dress slowly inching its way up to my forehead makes me look like Miss " They tried to make me go to rehab and I said no no no".

But on the plus side I got this amazing vintage dress in Bedford avenue, Brooklyn. iI's a street lined with vintage stores. and being a fan of vintage jewelry I got a couple of pieces as well. Fear not those of you thinking "oh dear God she traversed the Gaza strip of New York". I bought the jewelry in Manhattan. Yes I was once one of those Constantine bourgeois who watched Law&Order and was inundated with images from rap videos that made me put Brooklyn on my list of places to avoid if I ever wanted to make it to my 21st birthday. Then again I do have a little "thug in me" tucked under my Burberry trench, held down by a headband from Henri Bendel in case I need to handle business. Finished off with waving the index finger telling everybody you are fiiieeerce.

Ok this is a tad off track to what I write about but I just wanted to rant about the number of people who have pissed me off or tried to screw me over this week !! Some of them are folks who are supposed to give you back stuff that doesn't belong to them and some are incompetent *a* holes. So this Vivienne Westwood ad campaign pretty much sums up my current state of mind

The Sartorialist comes to London

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman this evening. Liberty of London hosted his book signing. It took about 2 hours of waiting in line but thanks to the Dj spinning the turntables ...of which I swear to you Scott Schuman was bouncing to the likes of Snoop Dogg on his chair ... was worth it. Being the only girl amongst my three male friends I learned a thing or two about men's fashion as the signing was in the men's department downstairs. The best moment was when I came up to his table and asked to take a photo of him and his girlfriend before he signed my book. He took off his glasses, playfully fixed his hair and there you have it.

The beauty about skype and the Eurostar is that you can be chatting to a dear friend living on the other side of

the English channel on a lovely Friday evening, recounting on how boring your week has been you think...what
the hell? Are you doing anything this weekend? He says no. And you say ok can I come over to Paris to see you
because I don't feel like spending a boring weekend in London. Sure. Pourqoui pas? So the next morning you go
to St. Pancras and voila in 2 hours you are smoking a cigarette walking along Rue St. Honoré and discussing life
in French. My friend has an amazing apartment, as he also works in fashion as a photographer. We went to a
rather odd exposition (Jeu de Paume) on a British photographer called Martin Parr. I say odd because the life size
photos outside (Jardin des Tuileries) were more relevant and interesting than the ones we paid to see inside, which
were of other photographers.

But the best thing is that I have ordered a fujifilm instax mini + film from ebay which I should get before my trip
to New York !

For all of you out there who have "accidentally" used your grocery money or for the daredevils rent money on an item of clothing, please raise both your hands ... and now clap or pat yourselves on the back because in the end it was worth it. We either lied to ourselves by pretending to fast or we dug into every Starbucks or supermarket food sample, which we previously snubbed. Then we called our parents and gave them the .. "do you want your innocent defenseless child to sleep on the streets, delve into heroine and prostitution, do you?!" ..speech .. if they threatened not to help pay our rent just this once. And they gave in. So you got to have your cake and eat it too.

I had a lazy bank holiday this past weekend. I felt so tired I could barely fight off the insane and what-are-you-still-doing-in-London-with-this-shiteous-weather tourists when my friend and I went shopping. Here I was in front of my mac, so I decided to revisit photo booth with a recent purchase. Grace Jones tee. Yep that's my virgin kitchen in the background where no cooking has ever taken place. Ever.
